How do I get started with the License to Carry process?
For Texas on-line application process go to: www.TEXAS.GOV - click 'Services' - click 'License to Carry' - click 'New Applicant' at bottom of page
This process will be covered at the end of the class.
Can I take the class if I don’t own a handgun?
YES. We have semi-automatic and revolver handguns available for use (at no charge to you - we do require that you use our ammunition).
Can I share a handgun with someone else?
YES. We often have couples with one handgun; you simply shoot at different times. This isn’t a problem because class size usually dictates that we shoot in multiple relays.
Can I take the class if I don’t know how to shoot?
The LTC class is not designed to teach you how to shoot. It assumes you have the basic working knowledge and skills to operate a handgun safely. If you have no experience at all with a handgun, it is recommended that you first attend our
"Basic Handgun "class to receive instruction on how to load, fire and handle a handgun properly.
What if I don’t pass the class?
We work with you to insure you know all the material and can pass the 25-question exam. The only exception to this policy is if you create a safety hazard on the range, you will be disqualified. If you simply pay attention and follow simple instructions, you will have no trouble with this course of training.
What should I bring to class/range?
- A handgun of your choosing
- 50 rounds of ammunition to be used in the firearm you intend to qualify with
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection
- Ball cap or billed visor
- Close toed shoes or boots
- Crew neck tee shirt or button up shirt or blouse
** Dress appropriteley for expected weather
May I reschedule a class?
YES. We understand unavoidable circumstances happen. If you need to reschedule, just call or email us, and we will be happy to accommodate your needs in another class, at no additional cost to you.
I have a work challenge. Do you offer any of the classes during the week or in the evenings?
YES. Feel free to contact us through our contact link at the top of the page for special scheduling.
*** Questions concerning where, when and how you can carry your firearm are covered in the class.
